So I took a 30-minute walk on the treadmill this morning.  I rather despise treadmills because they are so unchanging, and therefore boring.  I much prefer to be outside where the fresh are circulates and the scenery changes (there isn’t much to say for staring at a tan wall).  However, it has been raining all day and I was rather tired of my renter’s choice in lodging.  His lease needs to be up soon… you know, make way for the next renter.  Of course, Tim was very encouraging of the idea of walking to simulate labor.  Yesterday I caught him digging through the pillows and blankets that I have stacked on the pack-n-play crib.  When I asked him what he was doing, he replied, “Oh nothing… just trying to picture Levi being in here…”  I couldn’t ask for a more happily involved husband!  Needless to say, every one is becoming impatient- but no more so than me!!!

I’ve been told that another sign of soon-coming labor is longer periods of fetal inactivity.  I am just now beginning to notice this in Levi (remember the doctor said we couldn’t ask for a more active baby).  Last night I noticed a period of time, longer than most, where he just wasn’t moving.  Needing to know he was okay, I headed to the freezer for an ice cube.  My father-in-law taught us long ago that an ice cube to the belly will make the baby dance!  It works and it is very entertaining.  I just wouldn’t recommend doing that for too long.  So I got out an ice cube and put it on my belly where he was sticking out his backside.  Before he started to respond to it, the ice cube started melting!  It was melting way quicker than I would have imagined.  Its crazy to think how much heat those little babies put off!  Plus, mine is probably extra hot because he is his father’s son.  I will never need a space heater so long as I have my husband- and apparently my son too!

As I mentioned before, its been raining- it started last night.  Due to the weather my car still carries the invisible “out of order” sign above its exterior.  I miss my car.  I can’t even remember what I named her.  I think it was Gretchen…
